Why buy Profoto from Specular?
White Hard Reflectors
Inspired by leading beauty and fashion photographers, Profoto have added new light stamps to the collection, bringing a novel approach to light shaping.
A new brush of light.
Profoto have blended the distinct, sharp light of a reflector with the soft, even light of a white interior to create light stamps that offer a mix of crispness and softness. The white models provide a gentler light over a wider area than the silver ones, adding contrast without being too harsh. They soften the light’s fall off while enhancing the brightness more than a bare bulb would, but less intensely than silver models.
Thanks to the expansive spread of light, you gain the ability to feather the light significantly more than with silver reflectors. At the same time, you retain the key benefits of each specific reflector type (Zoom, Magnum, TeleZoom), allowing for unparalleled versatility in your light-shaping repertoire.
Why use a white hard reflector?
The white version delivers a softer and slightly more even light in a larger spread than its silver counterparts, while still bringing in more punch and contrast. These are an excellent addition to the light shaping toolbox and enables further precision when searching for the perfect light stamp.
Moreover, white reflectors are suitable for use with both protruded and flat front lights.
The Magnum Reflector increases light output by one f-stop compared to the standard Zoom Reflector while maintaining a flooded light.
As a result, the Magnum is a natural choice when you want smooth and even light with maximum output.
