Unveil the invisible!

Multispectral imaging captures light from a range of wavelengths (both visible and invisible to the human eye) across the electromagnetic spectrum using special camera technology, light sources, and filters. The data produced by multispectral imaging can be used to analyse substances and surfaces to improve readability or determine authenticity, age, material characterisation, and distribution.

Multispectral imaging can be a slow process. The Phase One Rainbow MSI system dramatically reduces the time and effort required to produce meaningful results and data.

This is done through the combination of the Phase One iXH 150MP (150 megapixel) camera and LED lighting system delivering 16 narrowbands of light from UV, through visible IR.

Fully automated, non-destructive, results delivered fast!

The Rainbow MSI Solution from Phase One is a fully automated and powerful tool for multiband and narrowband multispectral imaging applications, delivering in-depth insights into materials, pigments, and other traces in documents, paintings, and artefacts – all without physical contact! Notably, the Rainbow MSI Solution has already been adopted by major global institutions, including the Bodleian Library at Oxford University, The Royal Library of Denmark and major Forensic imaging institutions.

The Phase One Rainbow MSI system can also capture standard RGB images with incredible detail and colour accuracy with it's 150 megapixel sensor and high quality optics.

    MSI Benefits

Multispectral imaging has a wide range of applications, including:

    • Text readability analysis of aged documents
    • Non-invasive studies on polychrome surfaces for conservation and authentication
    • Detailed fabric analysis for historical research
    • Non-destructive forensic analysis for law enforcement applications
    • Document verification and counterfeit detection
    • Innovative uses in material science and quality assurance
    MSI Benefits readability

This demonstration will offer both cultural heritage and law enforcement professionals the chance to experience the latest advancements in this capture technology, showcasing the fully integrated hardware and software solutions from Phase One.
