So you have been using the GF80mm f1.7, but just fining that focal length sometimes a bit too long. Step in the 55mm f1.7 for the GFX system.
Sporting the well known and widely respected FUJINON optics, this is a lens that we are really excited about.

This lens is amazing! The images are simply beautiful. It is that ever so slightly wider than standard GF 63mm lens, but with the fast aperture that we have been longing for. And it's also worth mentioning that the bokeh is superb - creamy and smooth.
Here are some key highlights:
- Focal length equivalent to 44mm (35mm format)
- 77mm front filter
- Minimum focus distance of 50cm
- Magnification of 0.17x
The lens consists of 14 lens elements in 10 groups including 2 aspherical elements, 2 ED elements.
There is a whole lot of technology going into the high resolving power the lens delivers as well as the smooth bokeh that it produces.
Who should use this lens
The obvious candidates for embracing this lens are photographers is the Fashion, Editorial and Lifestyle genres. But this lens is really an all rounder and should finds it's way into most GFX owners lens kit - even product photographers.
While playing around with the 110mm Macro TS lens, capturing a watch and working on making it interesting whilst showing the capabilities of the tilt shift function, Adrian Lander says: "How about we put on the 55mm and have a play with that?"
So at f1.7, hovering over a fish tank.... magic!
